What Our Clients Had to Say About Working With The Brian Kondo Real Estate Team | KAREN & BILL



Before I became a real estate agent, I worked for the City of Toronto in the Recreation & Parks Department.  At the end of each season, I would sit down with my staff and evaluate each program, keep the ones that were successful, then brainstorm on new programs we could implement, always keeping in mind the mission of the Recreation Department, with governing values such as “delivering programs that offer various drop-in activities such as sport, fitness and health, arts and crafts, outdoor pursuits, hobbies and continuing education”.



 

When I became a real estate agent and eventually started my team, I decided to come up with my own Mission Statement, complete with governing values.  



 

“The mission of the Brian Kondo Real Estate Team is to provide such outstanding service when assisting our clients with their real estate needs, that they will have no hesitation in using our services again or recommending us to their friends, relatives, neighbours, co-workers and acquaintances.  In short, we want “A CLIENT FOR LIFE!”



 

One of our seven (7) governing values is:  

 

#3.  “We will take the time to listen to our clients’ needs and produce a plan of action which will ultimately result in the purchase or sale (or both) of their real estate”.



 

This is what happened with Karen and Bill.  From the very first call, Karen was clear: they wanted a John Boddy home. No exceptions, no substitutions. There was no interest in seeing anything else. So, I had one of our agents filter listings to show them only resale homes built by John Boddy. We started booking showings and walking through those homes together, keeping a sharp eye out for “the one.”

 

Then one day, as they toured yet another John Boddy resale property, Karen mentioned interest in pre-construction John Boddy homes in Ajax.  So, our agent went to investigate. Although John Boddy wasn’t offering commission to agents, he still went to their sales office and got floor plans and price lists.  However, there was a catch: these homes wouldn’t be ready for up to two years. And while John Boddy builds stunning homes, they do come at a premium price.

 

This is where #3 of our governing values came into play.  We listened to our clients’ needs and produced a revised plan of action - to keep looking for John Boddy resale homes but also other homes in other areas as well.  

 

Then it happened.  After a month or so, Karen and Bill found the home of their dreams.  It wasn’t a John Boddy home, but a new construction home from Tormina, another top-quality builder. There was no commission with this builder either, but as per Governing Value #3, we “listen to our clients’ needs and produce a plan of action which will ultimately result in the purchase or sale (or both) of real estate”, which happened in this instance.  

 

After they signed the papers to buy this new home, it was now time to sell their present home.  I listed it at the end of January and sold it over the asking price in just 13 days!  Karen and Bill were thrilled, especially how I put their minds at ease before, during and after the offer presentation.  After all, they had just purchased the new home firm, so they had to sell.  You can see what they had to say by reading the testimonial below.  One of the things they pointed out was that I took notes during the offer.  I have designed an Offer Presentation Checklist, which everyone on my team utilizes so nothing is missed or forgotten when doing counter offers, etc.  It’s just one part of The Brian Kondo Home Selling System.  

 

As per our mission statement, we want to “provide such outstanding service when assisting our clients with their real estate needs, that they will have no hesitation in using our services again”.

 

 

Unfortunately, Karen and Bill separated not long after they moved into their new home.  As per our mission, they had no hesitation in using me and my team again to sell their new home and each of them used an agent on my team to purchase as well.  That was five transactions we assisted them with, one of them for the new home.

 

 

This is why I love doing what I do.  There is nothing more fulfilling, more rewarding, than the feeling I get helping clients like Karen and Bill, especially when they are so happy with the service my team and I provide them.
